Ping and TCP port monitoring

ICMP ping and TCP port checks for the servers and services behind your websites — databases, mail, SSH, game servers and anything else that listens on a port.

Not everything worth monitoring speaks HTTP.

ICMP ping

Reachability and round-trip latency for a host, from more than one region so a single bad route does not read as an outage.

TCP port

Open a connection to a port and confirm something is listening: Postgres on 5432, SMTP on 25, SSH on 22, a game server on whatever it uses.
